- Ray Dalio: How the economic machine works - This video explains how the economy works in simple terms. Ray likens it to a machine that operates through cycles of ups and downs. In my opinion, all of Dalio's content is great!and it's worth checking out his other videos and books!
- The Stock Market, Explained - This episode provides a beginner-friendly overview of the stock market, covering topics such as stocks, exchanges, market participants, indices, risk, and long-term investing.
- Inside Job, (Charles Ferguson, 2010) - This documentary highlights the causes and consequences of the 2008 financial crisis. As history often rhymes, it's important to understand what has happened in the past, to help deal with the future.

This was an easy pick for me. Finimize aims to simplify finance, making it more accessible to everyone. It provides daily news, educational content, investment ideas, community engagement, and personalised features.
- Trustnet - trustnet.com
Trustnet is great for fund analysis as you can easily compare various metrics against other funds. It also offers investment data, analysis, and portfolio management tools, intending to support informed investment decision-making.

Podcasts
- TBOY - Perfect podcast for the commute to work, they produce daily episodes covering three business news stories each day. It's very digestible and only 20 minutes long.
- Motely Fool Money - A good way to stay on top of daily news and headlines. The pod also aims to educate listeners to become better investors. It's hosted by investment analysts, and they try and break down the implications of the news on markets.
- The Memo, Howard Marks - Although not a regular podcast, I always make time to listen to the memo. Marks is a legend in the investment world and provides valuable insights into the economy and markets.
Books
- The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham - Benjamin Graham is considered one of the pioneers of value investing. He provides guidance and principles for successful investing, emphasising a disciplined and rational approach to the stock market. A must-read if you're interested in stock investing.
- Mastering the market cycle by Howard Marks - Marks provides a comprehensive exploration of market cycles and their impact on investing. He emphasises the importance of understanding investor psychology, managing risk, and adopting a contrarian mindset.
- Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman - Not strictly an investing book but human psychology is so deeply ingrained in why markets move, it's important to understand our cognitive biases, heuristics, and mental shortcuts that affect our judgments and choices.
